About Genevieve
With an elegant and refined style, Genevieve shares her passion for Middle Eastern dance in every performance. Genevieve brings more than 13 years of belly dance experience to the stage along with previous dance training in ballet and modern dance. Her primary belly dance background is in American Cabaret and Egyptian styles, with a smattering of Turkish for good measure.
As an in-demand instructor, Genevieve taught classes in Rome, Georgia, where she also performed regularly. She continued her performance career in Atlanta and is now pleased to teach and perform in the Auburn, Alabama area. In addition to her solo work, she is a member of Firefly Nights Belly Dance.
Genevieve believes a dancer must continually strive to learn and grow, and she has been privileged to study with many world-renowned dancers through workshops and intensives. Some of those who made a fundamental impact on her dance journey include Suhaila Salimpour, Ava Fleming, Sahra Saeeda and Khadejah El Oueslati.
Genevieve’s performances create a unique and elegant atmosphere at private and corporate events, weddings, showers and parties. Genevieve is based in Auburn, Alabama, but is available to travel for performances and workshops.
