Explore the culture and dance of Eritrea in this exciting workshop taught by Selam and hosted by Genevieve and Arianna. Learn about Eritrea and its people, dance the Tigrigna folk dance and discover Eritrean food. All proceeds from the workshop benefit KABBEE, an organization helping Eritrean refugees gain skills to be successful and productive in their adopted countries.
Selam is an Eritrean-American from Auburn, Alabama. She was born and raised in Asmara, Eritrea. Selam enjoys dancing various Eritrean, Ethiopian, Latin and belly dances.Both online and in-person spots are available.
In-person spots are limited to allow for distancing. All in-person attendees are required to wear a mask at all times while inside the studio. If you are feeling ill, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive before the event, please do not attend in person and contact the hosts immediately. We will work with you on your options.
Fall Into Belly Dance with Genevieve

Join me and shimmy from the comfort of your own home! Each week, we’ll learn a new combination in a different belly dance exploring the variety found in Middle Eastern dance. Perfect for the new dancer as well as an excellent way to work on technique and expression for the more experienced dancer. Registered and paid dancers will receive a link to the Zoom class each week on the day of class. Payment instructions and class links will be sent to the e-mail you provide on the registration form.
