Genevieve is proud to host award-winning Los Angeles belly dancer and professional photographer Faizeh November 4-5 for Images of Belly Dance, a weekend of American Cabaret-style workshops and photoshoots in the Auburn-Opelika area!
The full weekend package includes both workshops, admission to the hafla and a 45-minute photoshoot for $230, but spots are extremely limited due to the number of available photoshoot times. Reserve your package today!

Saturday, November 4

9 a.m.-11 a.m. Veiled Threats

Do you just chasse onto the stage, swish your veil around a bit, and then ditch it? Take it Old School and learn several veil wraps that make a dance unto themselves! Auntie Faizeh utilizes West Coast AmCab styles for this workshop. Bring your favorite 3 or 4 yard veil, chiffon preferred.
1 p.m.-3 p.m. From the Floor to Floorwork
$50 a la carte
Floorwork can seem intimidating for many of us, especially those of us who have aging joints or luscious curves. The good news is that floorwork can be accessible to lots more people than we realize! Auntie Faizeh demystifies some techniques so that you, too, can add this exciting belly dance element to your routine. Dance knee pads or a yoga mat will help make this workshop more comfortable.

Join us for a hafla honoring guest instructor Faizeh! The special evening will feature performances, live music and open dancing in a casual, celebratory setting. We’ll be lounging on the floor, so be sure to bring your favorite cushions to get comfy. A limited number of chairs will be available for those who cannot sit on the floor.

Every dancer needs a stash of photos that make you feel like the star you are. As both a professional photographer and a dancer, Faizeh will coach you through the perfect poses to bring out your magic with amazing images for social media, marketing or just because you want to feel fabulous. With your 45-minute outdoor photoshoot you’ll receive all images taken. Want to shoot something other than dance? No problem! Cosplay, headshots, family photos and anything else you can dream up are all welcome.
About Faizeh
Even though she’s only been studying Middle Eastern dance for the last 25 years, Faizeh has loved the various cultures her entire life. Her curious nature has led her to at least dabble in multiple styles of belly dance, but she always comes home to her AmCab foundation. She also loves combining her multi-decade career in portrait photography with her love of our dance community!
